A special track across the lands of Gurteen between the well and lake is supposed to be the route taken by the saint. An eel is sometimes seen at the well. The appearance of the eel is supposed to be a sure sign that a person gets his request. A trout is also seen in the well. It is considered unlucky to meddle with those fish.
