- There is an old road leading through Ballcashen called the old road. Long ago when Maire Ruadh was in Lemeneigh Castle she put a gate up near Roughan and the people had to make a road through Ballycashen to Kilfenora. Maistin Caoch na Cruaiche broke the gates at last(continues on next page)
