    St Blase's Day:-
    It falls on the 2nd of February. On that day people's throats are blessed.
    Shrove Tuesday:-
    It is the day before Ash Wednesday. That night is also called pancake night. Pancakes are made and a ring is put in one of them. Whoever gets the ring will be married before that night comes again.
    Chalk Sunday:-
    It is the Sunday before Palm Sunday. People who have not got married are chalked and are told it is time for them
