I live in the townland og Gurrane.
There is not much Irish spoken in Clare only in the west.It is unusual to go to America now as the emigration is closed down but large numbers used go.
Most of them go to England now.A part of the Shannon flows near our house and on account of that our house is called Shannon view.There is a fort near our house. It is said that my grandfather used to have two maids working for him.
