    About 4 yrs ago a young man named Patterson of Greenore Rd. Carlingford, committed suicide and ever since his ghost is seen walking about the Greenore Rd.
    One night a few years ago a young girl died in Mountain Park and at her wake the Banshee was seen by a crowd of young men, who could not leave till morning.

    There is a rock on Slieve Foy called Slate Rock. During the winter nights, lights were seen on top of the rock. Old superstitious people say it is "Will o' Wisp". These lights have so long been seen that they are passed over. One summer's night a few years ago, I and some pals were playing in fields near the mountain. We were playing away with our minds on our play, when suddenly three screeching yells rent the air. Some of the lads ran home as fast as their legs would go. The rest of us stayed to search about. When we were coming near a hedge there were three more unmerciful shouts. we were not long in running home and telling what we heard. All that night the shouting
