    Tarcaran - The small pig of the litter, but commonly applied to small delicate animals and sometimes to small persons, generally in a sarcastic way.
    Beo (beo of a fire) - a poor fire
    Guldar - a rough voiced talkative person
    Dia leat - a weakling
    Cárring - making faces
    ronyin - a stitch of clothes
    faire - a wake
    gasúr - a boy
    girseach - a girl
    suim - interest (They have no suim in it)
    Broffle - from Broch-shúil - an eye disease
    "The broffles were coming from his eyes"
    (broffla- small droplet of water)
    Capog leaves - a soft leafy plant used to ease the sting of the nettle by rubbing it to the affected part.
    Bliotan - a plant or better perhaps described as an injurious weed which grows in most crops in the district especially on the poorer land.
