There are no traditions or stories as regards the local forges. The local forge is the centre of story telling as Mr Smith has a wireless and the neighbouring men spend their leisure hours there.
The forge has not figured in any historical or national event. There used to be an old anvil outside the disused forge but it was removed some time ago,- Collector
