- The phantom ship of Carlingford LoughFor the last two years there were two ships lost in Carlingford Lough. These ships belonged to a company of people from Newry named Fishers. The names of these ships were "The Pine" and the "lady Cavana". These disasters did not occur without warning for every tie before an accident a phantom-ship is seen in the lough. This phantom ship is regarded by the sailors as a sign of danger and it never appears only before a tragedy occurs.
