  1. There was once a poor man & woman and their 12 year old son who lived in poor circumstances on a farm of about four acres. There was a falling out between this man and the local fairies for some misbehaviour of his, and for this they turned him into a jennet as he was on his was to make a céilidh in a neighbouring house.
    His wife & son were were watching him home that night but he did not turn up the whole night. They had a little stock of corn in the garden & the next morning when they got up & looked out
