Along the road at Greenmount there stood until recently, the remains of an Inn of the Stage-coach days.
The gentleman's residence known as Greenmount House was burnt down during the Black-and-Tab period.
VII Old Paths and roads.
An old path leading to an old well in this townland is called "Mutaruha"
"Madad Ruadh? The odlw ell is known as "Mullacarry" "Mullach Gáraidhe?"
VIII Old Trades & Customs.
Bricks were once made in this townland as the name of one of the fields points out. "The Brick Field". It is supposed that there was a small village at the brick field in olden days, and a minister must have lived there, for the field beside the brickfield is called 'The Minister's Field'
