- 1. It is believed that half a century or more ago the people had a numerous lot of cures for many different diseases.
They had all those cures because doctors were scarce and they had by no means as plentiful as they are to day. Therefore it is the same story as the composition regarding weather signs, they had to go by those cures. In the locality to day many old people still believe in those old cures.
