- 1. In olden days people used not use apan. They used use a griddle. They made different bread than we make to day. They made leaven bread potato cake oaten bread, Stampy. Leaven bread was so called because leven was put in the bread instead of soda.
2. Potato cake was made from potatoes that were left after the dinner.
