One night after my Aunt went to Hospital, her sister was in bed when she heard a terrible moaning like thunder, outside the house. It kept like that for about ten minutes and then died down. She was very sure of it because she awoke her brother and they both listened and heard it again. It was a warning that aunt was going to die. They are very religious people.
In a few days after Aunt died she was cleaning the house she heard a voice calling out of the ceiling. 'I am happy.' She recognised it to be Aunt's voice.
Over in the Moortown in Oldtown there is a man named Jack Smith who put up an new roof on his house and first night he slept under the rood there was nothing but scraping and hammering on the roof all night. He had to take down the roof and then there was no noise.
Once there was a man named Floody who was coming home from the forge
