Davidstown lios is situated on the Davidstown road, adjacent to the hill of the Grange. Near the gate there is a circle about two yards in circumference and in the centre of this circle there is a hollow with a large flag-stone inside. Under this stone there is said to be buried treasure, the rent of Ireland for seven years. When the Danes buried this money one of them swore he would guard the money for ever and ever.
