- We have a churn at home which is about two feet wide, top and bottom. It is a barrel churn, and is four feet in height. It is on a stand, which is about three feet high. The various parts are - the handle, lid, and stand.
My mother does the churning, twice a week in Summer, and once a week in Winter. It takes a quarter of an hour to do it. My father often helps with it. In Summer the milk is plentiful; that is why the churning is done twice a week. In Winter the cream is not plentiful and the churning is done only once a week.
