- Local Ruins. There is a ruined castle in the district known as Lord Longfords Castle. I do not know who built it. It was besieged in 1922 by the I.R.A. It is in the town-land of Summerhill, in the parish of Dangan, and in the Barony of Meath. There are were three hundred and sixty five windows and one of them had to be shut up because there are three hundred and sixty five days in the year. There is a spire called Ballinbrig Spire. There are no stories told about them.Carrie Douglas,
