Patrick McGauley, Thomas Daly, and Mrs. Murray. They do not know Irish. There are not as many houses as formerly. There are two ruins namely Patrick McNamee and Thomas Gerathy. A great deal of people went to America. It is good land. There are no woods nor lakes.
There is a river running at the end of the district. It rises near Athboy and flows into the Boyne near Trim. It is known as the Trimblestown river. - The name of my home district is Ballybrittas. It is in the parish of Kildalkey in the barony of Lune. There are eleven families in my home district. There are about forty people in it also. Most of the houses are thatched and some are slated. There are three people over seventy. There is no Irish or no story-tellers around(continues on next page)
