- The fairs are held in the town. They were always held there. Sometimes buyers come and buy pigs or cattle from the people in the country at the farm houses. The pig fair is held on the street and the sheep fair. The cattle fair is held on a special place called the green. There is a fair held in Athboy the first Saturday of the month.
