    cow's milk and sometimes goat's was used. If there were big families in the houses they used to put the table in the middle of the floor and sit round it when eating. In some houses the table was placed at the wall. The kind of bread that was eaten was wheaten and oaten and sometimes boxty bread. It was seldom that meat was used. Fish was the food they ate.
