Beside it is a road of ground. A trench is also round this ground and is connected with the trench round the moat in two places. On a fine summer's day a spendid view can be obtained from the top of the moat.
In the graveyard is a church os St Patrick. It is a large one. The water font of this chruch is "buried" beside the church and never goes dry the whole year round. A cure for the toothache is gained by putting a pin in the hole. The font is about two feet square and has a hole in it one foot in diameter, and about six inches deep.
The graveyard is very old and contains a lot of tombstones that are inscribed in Latin and Ogham. A Bishop of Kilmore Diocese and also a lot of priests are buried in this graveyard. Priests and people are also buried inside the church walls.
