Early to bed and early to rise
Makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise - About thirty five years ago there was a football match in Rathkenny between Castletown and the Navan Pearse Mahonys team. Castletown won by a goal and a point. The scores were two goals and two points. There were twenty one men on each side and the goals were one hundred and fifty yards apart. The Navan team had blue and white jerseys and Castletown had green and gold. Weight trowing and a hop step and a lep. Brian Reilly was a great weight trower and he won two sets of medals one in Rathkenny and the other in Navan. There was a man in Castletown about forty years ago called the runner Reilly. He won three two mile races one at a sports in Newtown(continues on next page)
