- In the eighteenth century Ireland's smallest and strongest man was a dwarf but three feet nine inches in height, and endowed with such extraordinary strenth that no giant of his time could compete with him. His name was Owen Farrell. He could with ease carry four men, two sitting astride on each arm., Before his death he sold his body to a surgeon.
