(continued from previous page)have collected and written most of the folk lore of the district it is (not)(?) necessary for me to tap fresh sources of supply(?). This I did by consulting some of the old stock in the school area. I could get very little reliable folklore from the school children as they live mostly in the villages of Rathwire and Killucan and their parents do not belong to the old stock. I found it impossible to get much folk lore from Mr Briscoe Curristown, and Mr Patrick Keegan Toor(?) Killucan both of these men are highly educated and take a keen interest in the history of the district. They feel shy about saying anything relating to the folklore of the neighbourhood. They are both about eighty years old and I know that they have a wonderful knowledge of the history of the locality. I may still be able to elecit some interesting stories from them.
