    with the electricity & this means less labour to the garage assistant but it does not mean he will loose his job.
    Our local garage is Walter Glynnes. He came here from the county Longford & started a bicycle shop& he got on well & then he erected a large garage for motor cars etc, & he got on well at this also. He is a middle aged man & I am sure he has lots of money because he does a very big trade & he is popular with everyone because he does not charge too high.

  2. Long ago the church of Tyrrellspass was about two miles in the village in a place called Clonfad. The remains of it are still to be seen in the grave yard.
    The people thought it was in very bad repair & they called a vestry meeting & they decided to build a new one in 1791. They built it 1792. Everyone in the parish had to pay so much to build it & lend a hand whenever they were wanted & the farmers had to give their horses to draw the stones from the quarry at Gneevebane & this gave great employment to the poor people. When they were going to build it they had to be very particular about
