    If the godfather puts a ribbon round the neck of the child who has whooping-cough it will be cured. The milk which is left after a ferrets meal is also said to cure it.
    The seventh son is able to cure toothache. He is also able to cure ringworm. This malady is cured by rubbing with a gold ring.
