    their friends. After that the married couple would get ready for the honey-moon. Some of the people were very particular about choosing their dresses for the marriage.
    Married in white, have chosen all right.

    The journey home from church was called "The Hauling Home". If the bride were going to live at her husband's house it was considered unlucky for her to visit her own home for a month after her marriage. As soon as the people reached the bridegroom's house there was a great feast prepared, and there was dancing and singing, music and merriment until the small hours of the morning.
