    field called the Peeler's bush because during the war the Peelers used to stay under the bush.
    Thonwilla in Middleton Park got its name from an old mill that was there and this place was at the back of it. Daloon in Middleton Park got its name from a man named Lool who was drowned in a lough near this place. Ballybrennan got its name from people who lived there by the name of Brennans. Mount Druid in Mr. Duffy's field Castletown-Geo., got its name from Byrnes who lived there. Corea got its name from people who lived there by the name of Rea's. There is a place in Middleton Park Stud called Comers Gate. It got its name from people who lived there by the name of Comers. There is a hill situated between Castletown-G., and Horseleap called Palace Hill. It is so called because there was a palace there long ago. There is another hill in Killalee called Ballybrown Hill. A man named Brown lived there long ago. There is a big moat near Kilbeggan and beside it there is a field called the Mount field.
