    and one or two others jump in while it is going and they keep skipping as long as they can.
    To play "spy" a number of children gather together. Half of them go into a corner and the other half go and hide. After a while they come out of the corner to look for the others, if they see where they are hid they shout "spy". Then the others rush out of their hiding-places and if they catch anyone before she reaches the corner she is "Out" and the one who has caught her is "in" and so on.
    We often play "colours". A lot of children are needed to play "colours", - a "devil", an "angel", and one to give out the "colours", and many others to give the "colours" to. When the "colours" are given out the angel comes and asks for a "colour" and whoever has
