  1. Mr Bonny the land-lord of Ballintubber was in Taskinny one time. Lord Annelly passed by and he said, "Go home little Bonny". Mr Bonny said "pull in your head you rat or I will shoot you".
    Next day an army of Lord Annelly's burned all the tenants houses in Ballintubber.

  2. My father told me that Slator's mill was burned in the year 1918. On the morning of the accidient a neighbour named Blanford was out shooting and he noticed the fire and gave the alarm. James Keegan who was then kiln-man was accused of not raking the kiln-fire and it was believed this was the cause. But it was after found out the fire was raked
