First raw potatoes were peeled and rasped. The water was then squeezed out of the rasp. The latter was mixed with flour, salt and bread soda. It was the made into cakes and put to bake.
Meat was used at Christmas. - Long ago the old people had two meals a day, these were their breakfast and supper. The breakfast was eaten before six oclock because they used to go to work.(continues on next page)
