    there were run always in old times that is the boy and girl met at night and went to some friends house where they remained all next morning - the bride remained until her father and mother sent for her to come home. They were married in a month after, but not sooner no run aways were allowed in Lent.
    I heard this from my Grandfather aged 75, John Morgan, Cloonmacart, Drumlish, Co. Longford.
