Lettergeeragh is a townland in the school district of Gaigue Parish of Drumlish Barony of Longford. It is a small townland and there are eleven families living in it. The most common name is Sheeran. There are three families of that name, two families of Lynch, two McGuire families. The old people are Mick Lynch, over eighty years and Odie Lynch. Land is elevated, boggy. Two old vacant houses, people died out of them. Lettergeeragh means the wet field of the sheep.
