  2. The names given to roads in this district are the Kilmahon road, the Dernacross road, and the Bandra road. There is a graveyard along Kilmahon road which was blessed by St Patrick a long time ago. The Derryheelan road leads from Derryheelon crossroads to Cooney's crossroads. The Kilmahon road leads from Kilmahon to Ballinalee. The Dernacross road leads from Dernacross to Granard. The oldest of these roads is the Kilmahon road.
