- Mrs Macken, Cranery, Colmcille was one day preparing the dinner for men she had working. A strange woman came to the door. She asked for some refreshment. The woman of the house told her that she was preparing the dinner and asked her to sit down. The strange woman refused. She took her departure. As she was actually going out on the street, the men were coming in, but they did not see her.
