- Denniston lived in Prospect, Granard. He took a prominent part in the battle of Granard; when the Irish were defeated there he seized of the yeoman's horses mounted her & took the country to his home. Once he entered a field that was surrounded by a quick & an iron gate. The yeomen were hot on his heels & and they now thought that they had him ensnared. He put his horse to the gate & she crossed it. The horses of the yeomen however, failed to do so. When he got to his home he collected(continues on next page)
