    Get a child's Godmother to buy a piece of red ribbon and give it to the child and tie it round its neck and it is said to be a good cure.
    (2) Cures for a burn.
    Anybody who licks a man-keeper has the cure of the burn by licking it. Twins also have the cure of the burn by licking it.
    (3)Cures for warts.
    Get a black snail and rub it three times and hang it on a thorn and when the snail is withering the wart is withering also. Water that is lodged in a stone will also cure warts.
    (4) Cures for a sty.
    Get an number of gooseberry thorns and point them to the eye every Tuesday and Thursday and it will cure the eye.
    Houseleek will also cure inflamation in the eye by rubbing it to the eye.
    (5) Cures for fresh cuts.
    Cobwebs will cure fresh cuts and also the leaf of the slanlus.
    (6) Cure for chill blanes.
    A split potato when rubbed to the chillblanes will cure them.
