Nettles are cut up and put in the food for turkies and the old people say it keeps them from getting the choking. On our farm also dock leaves grew abundantly amongst the potato crop and it harms them a great deal and brings the blight very quickly. - The Potato Crop.
Each year there are about three acres of potatoes sown on our farm. This is the usual amount sown annually.
