- There are many old cures still in use but some of them have faded away.1. When a child has the whooping cough there is a cure that if the mother brought her to two persons of the same name that were married and the people to give her a piece of bread she would be cured.2. If a person had a toothache the cure is to put a frog in their mouth.3. The cure for Chilbains is to rub lamp oil on them on the first Friday of the month4. If a person had the chicken pock he should go to a well at sunrise and wash himself there.
That is supposed to cure him.5. Boiled nettles are a cure for pain but they should be eaten before Breakfast when fasting6. Sheeps-milk is a cure for measles.7. To cure a Boil you should make a(continues on next page)- Informant
