At last they succeeded in clearing the lands in the afternoon. Old Mr Dunne was bed-ridden and they threw him outside the door together with all the furniture. The old man was taken to a friend's house but he died in a short time. Then his son went to America.
They next marched and took possession of my grandfather's farm in Poulpeasty. He was not living on the farm as it originally belonged to his uncle but had become his property.
They next marched to Knoxtown and evicted a man named Cullen. They left off then as the day was in and no other eviction took place afterwards.
