- 1. In the townland of Templeudigan lived a man who took part in the Battle of Ross. This man's name was Byrne. Having taken part in the Battle of the Three Bullet Gate, he was wounded and lay in the Old Churchyard for a couple of days. He recovered from his wounds, he lived to come back to the old home, where he resided for many years.
This man's descendants still reside in Templeudigan. 2. During the Rising a battle was fought in Ballinvegga about six miles from New Ross and between it and Enniscorthy. Some time ago bullets were found in a wall there. 3. It seems that during the Rising(continues on next page)
