- Up to the present the old people say that every night at 1,o clock a black dog and a dead coach and horses come galloping from some place in Barmoney to a old fort belonging to Matty Coady, Tomfarney, Bree, Co. Wexford. It is said that a woman and man were coming home one night and as they were passing by Andie's Lane the woman said to the man, "Look at the do and the horses and coach." The man looked but could not see anything. This woman would not go that way after that night. The man went home the lane and never saw any thing. Ever since this people often waited to see it but it was never seen since, only the trotting of the horses and the man saying "go on." were heard. This woman says that when the dog gets to this fort he goes up in a ball of fire.
