- (continued from previous page)comes out in the door.This house is about ten feet square. There is a little garden just outside of the house where the inhabitant raises potatoes, cabbage and lettuce. The man living in it is very happy, with his old fashioned little home.

The uniform he wears is a red cap and green coat. His trade is making shoes for the rest of fairies. He also carries about all the gold.This elf is seen mostly in old raths or along a lonely river in the shade of a sceach. He is seen about midnight

When you say "Give me your gold," he will say "If you dig there you will get the gold,"
