- 56. The "Pooka." The Pooka is out at Halloween.It is supposed to crawl on blackberries and after that, no one will eat a blackberry. People, long ago, would not go out at night as they were afraid of the "Pooka". The "Pooka's Hallow" is on the road between Rathangan and Kildare. On Pooka night gates, cart wheels etc are often stolen and hidden.
