Consumption:- A cure for consumption was to put an egg in an ant's nest. When the ants would have it sucked the consumption would be cured. - Whooping Cough:- If two people of the same name were married a piece of bread which the woman would make would cure the whooping cough.
Another cure was to crawl under an ass three times while the ass was eating oatmeal.
