Toothache:- Visit the "Priests Bush" and rub the tooth with the leaves of the bush three nights running.
The juice of the bark of the "quick berry bush" put into the tooth.
If you were in the habit of shaving on Sunday and gave it up it would cure you.
They would go to Father Moore's grave in Cloncrane and get apiece of gravel off the grave and put it to the tooth. - Sore eyes:- pointing a gooseberry thorn at them.
- Mumps:- Roasted potatoes are good for them.
- "Wild Fire" or Fever:- Hang holly over the door
- Nettle Sting:- Rub with dock leaf.
- Headache:- Some people do not comb their hair during Holy Week to get better of headaches.
- Bellyache:- The would rub goose grease on themselves night and morning.
