- In the townland of Logmore near Geashill there is a b[?] and prosperous farm callet Yarrs. One time they kept a workman who one evening went on business to Geashill after his day's work. it happened that he stayed chatting and talking in Geashill until about twelve o' clock. Then he decided to go home across the fields in Alderboro. he had to cross over two stiles and there was a little fear on him. He got over the first stile and when he did he saw two strange greyhounds with their tongues out and they were panting terribly. They ran over to him and they leaped around him, and he thought that they had fits and he was afraid. Then on he went until he came to the next stile and when he went outside of that on he saw two turkeycocks and they made awful noise around him. He went home and when he did he fainted and he went to bed and he was sick for four months after.
