- There is an old church yard about which much is not heard of. This church - yard is situated in a place called Glynn, which is about a mile from Ferbane.
The first story that I ever heard of this place was told by my grandmother, thus:
During the time of the Black and Tans a young boy was walking through the wood.
Just as he was walking along some of the Tans came upon him and they thought that he was telling some of the Irish lads who were on the run when they were coming.
So they killed him.
Just as they had the grave nearly finished the Irish lads came upon and the English just threw him in and flew. This grave is still to be seen open There is still another grave in which a monk was buried. There is still many(continues on next page)- Collector
