    The ruins of our monastery only do stand
    That were built by the hands of our saints
    When they came for to visit our land
    There's our chapel the ruins of it only do stand
    Erected by the clear running river
    In Kilcommon the charming townland.

    There is a bridge for some centuries erected,
    Its length over one hundred yards
    On the pass to one last habitition
    That lonely and silent church yard
    Where our friends and relations
    Their eyes have long closed
