    and that they did not know what time it was. While they where talking they heard a terrific rattle of chains coming along the road so the priest said "Pull in your car off the road as quick as possible, for there are more devils coming than you can count". So when the devils had passed the woman said " Oh, God bless you, Father we would have been killed only for you by those evil spirits. I suppose I can do nothing to repay your goodness". "Oh, you can, my good woman" said the priest " you can do a good deal for me. Go to my brother and tell him from me to give offering for the celebration of two masses which I was paid for and neglected to offer when I was alive. For I cannot go to Heaven until those masses are celebrated". Then the woman said "Father, I will give the offering for those masses myself". But he said "No, but go and tell my brother to do so". Then he told them to continue on their journey but never to go out again until the cock had crowed. So she told the priest's brother and he made things alright. About two weeks after that the woman was milking the cows when the priest appeared to her again and told her that he was now going to Heaven and that it would not be long until she would be going to the same place.
