- The swallow and the cuckoo migrate. They come in the spring. Their coming is a sign of Summer. They go off at the end of the summer.
Before they go to foreign countries the swallows collect on the telegraph wires and then they migrate together.
When the swallow flies low it is a sign of rain. When the wild geese come inland from the sea it is a sign of rain. When the philipines (plovers) come down from the mountain it is a sign of severe frost or snow.- Collector
